I'm trying to add the Avatar Palace plugall plugin.
I put plugall.so in the bin directory
I add ../bin/plugall.so psdata/plugall.txt to the blank plugin configuration file.
But it doesn't work.
ChangeLog.txt, Contents.txt, plugall.txt, and plugall2.txt came with the plugall.zip file.. where do I put those txt files? In what directory?
What am I missing? And how do I start the server through ./start-plugin, same with start-palace.
I am running on Windows XP. Please help.
-------------------
I also want to know if there is a way palace users can connect to my palace server without me having to open up The Palace server tool everytime (i run my server on my IP address). |

Hi
Well I'm afraid its impossible to run plugins on a Windows Palace Server, you need a Linux server for that. That is why you can't use the commands for starting your server.
As for using the Palace tool? Not sure what tool you mean, you can setup a re-direct service, this will give your Palace a real adress like fallenangel.myip.com. For more info on redirect services please visit the pages Glide made:

good luck. |

Is there a way I can run a Linux Palace Server on a WINDOWS computer??
And sorry for the mis interpretation about my last question. I was asking if there is a way I can run my Palace server without having to open up "The PalaceServer for Windows" everytime because I run my server on my IP address. I want other palace users to come to my server when my "The PalaceServer for Windows" isn't opened up, is that possible? Because whenever my "The PalaceServer for Windows" program closes, my server shuts down.
I hope you understood that better. |

Ok, yes thats a misunderstanding. Didn't expect anyone asking me if a program could still work after you close it The "Palace Tool", as you call it, is the Palace server. Not to be a smartass but thats a bit like asking me if windows can still be running after your computer is turned off
You can put a Palace Server shortcut in your windows Startup folder, this way it starts everytime windows starts, but other then that: no its not possible to run any program after you close it
The answer to your Linux question: Practically its not possible, Linux is a totally different operating system. Its a bit like trying to run Mac software on Windows: Not possible.
Its theoretically possible to run Linux as a seperate program on Windows and install the Linux server on it. But i'm afraid thats for experts only, you got to know Linux very already.
My advice to anyone is: have fun with Palace but don't make it to complicated. Learn how to build and if your Palace becomes popular (more then 12 regulars on every day) your probly bettter of getting it hosted then trying to figure out some weird free solution because thats even more expensive in the end.
Oh and i think a redirection service is a good idea anyway |
