questions: what would you like to see in palace that doesn't exist in the existing client?
what features would you absolutely require? (such as scripting, etc) and...
what features would you like to see 'left behind'?
just curious. |

Hey
Well not sure if there is a lot of stuff I would drop from the client.
Except for all that dead profile stuff of course.
A few old favorites come to mind for aditional functionality: Fully featured Avatars, no more prop pieces.
Balloons you can seat, something the manor has working already I guess.
Support for multiple roomsizes and object scripting. A simple array of basic commands you can abuse anyway you like
Actually I would like to see the weird propfile format left behind and just have a folder you can put pics in and badabing its an avatar if its in the right format.
Naturally I would like to see a real upgrade of the user interface, EVERY window seperate and able to be set by users in any way shape or form they like. A SINGLE propup for name, avatar, prop and smiley not this rubbish with windows and dropdown menus allover the place.
name, avatar, prop balloon color = your identity
and you should be able to set it in a single window.
Aaaaand I would like to see someone figuring out that a copy of the palace is gonna be just as much a failure as the original was
P2P filesharing could give a major boost to the Palace especially if you can also use it to chat on irc or Unreal tournament channels haha.. ok maybe thats overdoing it a bit
Eeeeh ok running out of inspiration for now... will try and add more later. |

Right, well lets say you put in a avatar with a mouth thats on position X you can move the balloons so they appear to be coming out of the mouth of the avatar. Thinking bubbles can be set to appear from he head, spikes somewhere else. Stuff thats now done with iptscrae. In manor I think you can save different speech bubble positions for each avatar. |

so a sort of offset?
that'd have to be limited to 50% of total avatar size... example:
132 x 132 avatar could have a max offset of -66px to 66px for X and Y
but that would (could) get confusing and weird. you know, standards and all. maybe as an option? whoknows! |

If you stick to the current Palace avatar format? I guess without server support there isen't much of an option. |
