Hello, I have been trying to add my photo as an avatar onto palace. I do not have paintshop pro, I have adobe photoshop. I have tried to add my photo, however, the colors are still not coming out correctly, and I have tried sharpening the photo many times. I am not sure what else to do. Can someone please help? Thank you

~Emi~

PS the attached file is a photo of what it should look like next to what it looks like.

Hi

You should check out the "ONLINE GUIDELINES" link in the main menu on the left. The Picture to Avatar tutorial is the one your looking for. Palace needs a special palette to set the colors in the right place.

The tutorial will explain how to get the best results (please ignore the weird HTML code allover the place we are trying to fix this ASAP)

The simple way is to save the picture as web gif first, then copy / paste multiple props it into your client. Might not give you the best result but should be slightly better. Also try to experiement with 'dithering' options, also knows as diffusion.

good luck

p.s.
clever use of the attach option on the forum, nice one!

Tnx Har£eQuiNN

I prefer Photoshop as well but don't have a decent photoshop / avatar tutorial on the site. (not until someone makes one i guess)

Both the photoshop/adobe and paintshop pro palace palettes can be found in the downloads section on Palace Planet. You can find them in "avatar tools"
