Question Just installed the Palace on Windows XP Pro with F-Secure firewall running at normal firewall setting, using cable modem, got the above error. I'll need to create a rule to let it through the firewall, but I'm not sure what to tell it. I have searched and can't find anything that tells me how the Palace communicates so I can let it through. Thanks.

Basically Palace uses two ports at least, so making a rule that would open up port 9990 and 9998 for the Palace client should work, but its best to open a range between 9990 and 1001.

tthese are http ports if i'm not mistaken.

Itt can also be your trying to connect to a Palace thats dead so make sure the Palace you are trying to reach is still alive and kicking.
