I guess it's my personal opinion but yeah, valcheck is kind of old and dated and it does have problems like that.

Yes it does seem to have problems especially after the conflict it caused tonight. I am planning on reading about Sentinel and talking to the owner about using it instead of Valcheck.

It happens, don't worry about it.

Yes it does tend to happen unfortunatly. I wish it had not have happened though.

I might come by sometime, hopefully the sRom message won't pop up again and cause a similar reoccurance in conversation.

I agree that it was a stupid arguement. I hope you do stop by and I give my word there will never be a similar occurance even if the message pops up again.

Well, report live from the troops!

Due to the sudden lack of anything fun to do to keep us awake, we decided to talk about a bunch of really interesting yet seemingly boring to the average individual topics (Jon and I). This would include everything from Sci-fi TV shows, to computers, to electronics, to politics, to ... you get the idea!

Given the lack of anything else to do, I guess we might have hit a few soft spots, others well... Even before we had anything to say whether an event was good or bad, like 9/11 we were immediately asked to stfu...

And plus this one girl somewhere in the mix asked really dumb questions about science not being able to explain this and not be able to explain that... Like how some old fart could shatter a rock with a fly swatter... yeah, that one sounded like a crock of shit to me too but we approached it with an open mind like any 'noble' scientist. Most likely such a thing could only be possible when you match the resonance frequency of a solid object with such intensity that it flat out shatters! Much like how Opera singers can shatter glass with a high-note! Rare yes, impossible? NO!

One thing lead to another where they simply didn't want to hear the truth about anything anymore, almost like the most important thing to them was who's farts smelled the best on prom night (exaggeration indeed, but I had to generalize). I mean damn people, if you don't give a shit that your country is going down the crapper on SPEED DIAL, it just shows how selfish you really are DUH?!

Needless to say Jon and I were gagged... I tried to make a point with ROOMMSG scripts, and was accused of 'jumping a gag'. Now, I'm sorry if Communities.com didn't block out the MSG_RMSG packet with a U_Gag bit flag in the user's flags but, how the hell is that JUMPING ANYTHING?! Yet they literally kept up this story about me jumping a gag, pulling a rule that wasn't in the server's OFFICIAL rules out of their ass to just to win an argument simply so they could justify their stupidity with ignorance!

Then the lady had the balls to bug me on AIM, twice, after blocking her ass the first time (which lead to another blocking afterwards). Where she thinks the neglect in seeing each other's point somehow made us even... Fine, so if we're even then, maybe she can learn from this point on, know what the hell you're talking about before you justify a mistake with ignorance, and maybe the next 'geek' to logon to her server will have a better chance.

Moral of the story is? You cannot educate a moron, they will pull you down and beat you with experience, or ban you if you try to resist, then beat you down with experience on AIM (or whatever medium you use)!

Moral of the story is people can make whatever rule they want if they own the server, but I guess you know that Razz

You can only lecture people on stuff when they are willing to listen it is that simple. A conversation means both sited listen, anything else is just a bunch of selfimportant monologues.. you know, like know the crap i write on this forum... hehehe

Thanks, at last someone confirms my suspisions Razz

Ok let me shoot off another lecture lol:

Lets say you have two types of audiences, one wants to watch gameshows and the shopping channel, the other liked discovery. Now you can switch the TV to discovery and tell them LOOK its mythbusters its all very cool. But they are in the middle of buying that great new perl neckless for $3.95.

You don't want them to switch to the shopping channel in the middle of something? So we all have our own intrests and you can't expect to cinvince people yours are more intresting or more important.

I quit Palace because there was no one left to talk to, very few people get my jokes and i'm not going to explain them.

bleah anyway nuff of that stuff....

It's not the fact that we lacked sharing common interests. It's the fact that they could care less about the issues that are 'reshaping' the surface of the planet. Events such as that are going to affect us ALL! This isn't about 'interests'... if people just sit by and let their government do all their 'thinking' for them, then you end up with a dictatorship!

That is how you see it, I guess they don't. It is just anonimous people on Palace trying to have fun their way.

Ok sing after me:

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you're chewing life's gristle,
Don't grumble,
Give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistle]

If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That's the thing.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistle]

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...

Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistle]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistle]

Life's a piece of shit,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistle]

Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]

Ok I tried it the funny way, the sensible and now lets just try the easy way:

This is a Palace support forum, so take this bullshit somewhere else. On this site I only expect one this: Some common sense.

In fights both sides suck because you can both resolve it. And this is not the place for a pissing contest.
