I am new here, sorry if I ask anything I should know... about 5 or 6 years ago I was on palace all the time and even started to build my own palace..never got ot compleated tho. I am trying to build one for ppl that right now use msn chat and want things that are very simple to get into and install and use. Would I do better to use instant palace? And do I build the palace the same and they then can come to the palace and use window or instant palace, their choice? It has been so long and I know since this is my idea and I Did use palace in the past...they will want me to make the palace and set it all up, so I fear till I get back into the swing of it again, I will need help. And ask dumb ?'s. How do I make av's for instant palace uses to choose from? Also, if I can find the old palce I was making (on some burned cd someplace) and I think this was before windows xp..maybe it was 98, can I still use it, would it be better to use it as a base and then change the pic's for the rooms, etc? Sorry, just need a bit of direction to get started.
thanks for any help and/or info.

Instant Palace is an outdated Applet where you have to toggle Java versions down in IE/Firefox inorder for it to work. The binary executable, Palace32, will run standalone with more features. Your post wasn't very clear, perhaps you should get somebody to translate it for us if it's not your native language. Windows XP sucks, it was never intended to run the Windows 98 executable. The Windows NT kernel lacks some of the old 9x functionality.

Sorry the other post was so unclear (even to me! Embarassed )
Anyway, I guess what I need to know is can I use my old scrpts (even for the client as I used botbot...can't find anymore, but I saved my cyborg thing so still have it.) I know I can get the palace to work on MY computer for me, great for fixing av's,etc, but will it work for others to come to? But as I said, they like things simple like msn chat, but there is nothing to it and we all get tired of it.
While I am at it..do I need the authoring tool and if so..where do I find it?
Also, right now I want to make a prop drop room so I can drop my av's and put them in new prp files. (like for xmas, etc.) What script works for that?
And if I do open my palace for others, can I make a prop room for it? (I never got around to that before..only rooms, doors, sound).
Thanks for any help
Katt
