Are you running it on your own computer?
If so, are you on dial-up?
Dial-ups usually change ip addresses on each connection, so when you connect the palace server whenever you connect online it would be different.
If you're on a hosted server like Fshosting, Fastpalaces, Chatserve, etc., you may want to contact them directly.

Your IP 'is' going change then each time you connect and open your palace server. You'll have to continue to give out the new ip address or use something like you already mentioned like dyndns or something on that line.
If you want a static ip address, you'll want to look into getting it hosted on a server rather than your home computer. Best advice I can give you, sorry.

Yep it will change, a simple solution is gettting a DynDNS clieent and put your media on a webssite (picttures and sounds) this will keep your trafffic down and make yyourr Palace nice and fast. you cvan do a search on this forum for more info on these subjects.
Good luck |

Put them on a website instead of on your own computer. Check out the Sticky on top of this Forum
(click the link >>Palace builders and look for: Sticky: Home hosters: Serve your media from a website)
It will speed up downloading and free up your bandwidth for chatting. |
