Have you ever consider Wiki, eg. http://www.wiki.org. The reason why I ask is that I do not think I can cover all possible networking scenarios in the upcoming "Linux PServer on Windows" document. If we have Wiki, then readers could contribute to the myriads of networking setups that worked for them.

Here's a short blurb about Wiki in Ward's original words:

The simplest online database that could possibly work.

Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks and has a simple text syntax for creating new pages and crosslinks between internal pages on the fly.

Wiki is unusual among group communication mechanisms in that it allows the organization of contributions to be edited in addition to the content itself.

Like many simple concepts, "open editing" has some profound and subtle effects on Wiki usage. Allowing everyday users to create and edit any page in a Web site is exciting in that it encourages democratic use of the Web and promotes content composition by nontechnical users.

Thanks maarten, I've started a section "Linux Palace on Windows using CoLinux". This is skeletal at the moment with detail to be filled in. It will take time as I am not the world's most prolific writer. Please feel free to add or modify as you see fit -- afterall this is Wiki =)

http://www.palaceplanet.net/wiki has a section on "Linux PServer on Windows using coLinux". It describes how to install coLinux, and a generic Linux PServer.

This is the first draft, and I hope it makes sense. Feedback of any kind -- good or bad -- is most welcome. In fact, feel free to edit those parts that did not make sense or work. Hope to hear your success stories soon =)

Ive been using a wiki for some time in preference to standard web pages, since its much quicker to edit, takes up less space and is generally more versatile and to the point.. it loads quicker, but has non of the frills.

As far as allowing users to edit pages, i had to disable it in my ftp prefs , as i found users were abusing it.. changing stuff, and generally being childish pillocks..

you can visit my Palace wiki here:
