Hi
FIRST: BACKUP!!
Everybody thinks making a backup is important but something you can do AFTER you first do some tests, DON'T backup first then play around.
Ok this is what you need to edit:
Cyborg.ipt
This is the Palace Cyborg also known as borg or Palace Client scripts. You can find this file int he same folder as your Palace client. (use windows to search for it if you don't know where your client is located)
Only edit this file in Notepad or something similar that can edit plain ASCII text. Do NOT use word it will add layout codes that will kill your scripts.
It has 3 sections:
ON OUTCHAT
Wich holds scripts triggered by something YOU said
ON INCHAT
Scripts triggered by something someone else said
ON SIGNON
Scripts triggered by entering a Palace for the first time.
Make sure you put scripts in the right section, all good scripts will tell you where they belong.
Also check you don't remove any { or } or misplace them.
When finished don't close your text edit, just save the file and test it in your Palace client. You can do this by choosing "RELOAD SCRIPT" from the Palace client menu. This will reload the cyborg and let you test any changs you made. Make sure you test this in a room where you can script and with not to many people around. ( Personally I would pick a empty room so you can play around without bothering to many people)
As long as you keep the Notepad or editor open you can use the UNDO option of the editor to go back to a working version if you do make mistakes.
Otherwise you have to reload the backup.
Good luck |
