Profile Pages as they where intended in the Palace Client will not work anymore. The servers that used to run the Profile Pages have been shut down when the company that used to support the Palace went bust.


Palace Planet has tried to solve this by setting up a link section with Member pages MemberList

And is offering User registration as a simple way to find out about your fellow Palace Users. Check the MemberList to find info on users.

If you are the owner, type in 'help when you have wizzed up and you will see a full set of commands that you can use for administration and for security purposes.

Propgagging just removes the props that you were wearing at the time. It does not remove the props from your prop bag.

So if you were wearing props that hadn't been saved to your prop bag then they are lost. Propgagging is a owner/operator function, used mainly for keeping the peace.
Once you are propgagged you cannot wear any props while in that palace, until the propgag has been removed by a wizard.

To avoid further propgagging, its a good idea to find out why you had been propgagged in the first place and avoid doing the same again.

The simple answer is: A firewall is a program to blocks certain connections and tries to keep out intruders. This means it can sometimes block the wrong program and you will have trouble connecting.

If there is a firewall in your router, make sure port 9998 and port 9990 are OPEN. The palace uses 9998 (unless you change this to another port offcourse) to connect and 9990 to send media: Sound and Pictures.

You should also check to see if your outside IP is different then the IP you think you use to login. DSL/CABLE can have 2 different IP's: 1 for you to login on theyr network and another one that connects you to the internet. To check your outside world IP go to this website: Whatismyip.com

The link on your menu no longer works. That was a service that was provided by Communities.com which regrettably no longer exists.

You can submit your palace to be listed by visiting www.palacetools.com This is the largest and most frequently used directory and is the same one that is featured here. There are other smaller directories based on category and theme for e.g: family palaces and romance palaces. You will have to apply to all of these yourself.

Use Notepad (or simpletext on a Mac) for editing your cybort.ipt. You will find parts of your Cyborg that start with ON OUTCHAT: this is where you put all your ON OUTCHAT scripts. These are the scripts that work when YOU say something, hence ON OUTCHAT.

There is also a section called ON INCHAT: this is where you put all the scripts that respond to what other people say.

The final one is ON SIGNON: This is where you put any scripts that should start thesecond you enter a Palace. Its not going to make you very popular if you abuse this for advertising etc.

You can take avs with you in the Palace software by putting them into your propbag. There are two ways of doing this:

1: use the "avatar" menu and select "member avatars" this wil open a menu with spots where you can save your avatars of choice. Any avatar saved will appear in pieces inside your propbag.

2: drag every piece of the avatar to the little black bottom right, to wear the avatar open the black bag and select all the pieces by clicking twice on each one.

If you want to save an avatar to work on in your favorite paint program the only way is to use the printscreen option on your computer. Put the avatar in front of a single color background like acid green or something. Make a printscreen and paste it in your paint program.

To reorder your rooms there are two God ommands:
'uplist
'downlist

One moves rooms uplist the other down your roomlist. Both can be used with added numbers: 'uplist 14 will move the room your in 14 rooms up the list to the top. Or you can type 'downlist 21 moving a room 21 down the list etc.
NOTE: the command works on the current room your in.

The other easy way to re-order rooms is by using the PatBuddy wich is part of Loghelp. This has a graphical interface that lets you slide rooms up and down the roomlist. You need to register with the Palacetools directory, they provide the directory server for us.

This means your old registration code is still there, or you are connected to a Palace.

If you are running a LINUX based PAlace server you can use the plugin Blockall to block paltech. Plugins do not work on windows servers.

Doors layering is what you use for the following:

If you have 2 or more doors and some of them are on top of each other you can pick which door is clickable by moving it to the top. Just imagine a stack of postcards on top of each other. The one you want peope to see or use is the one you move to the top of the stack.

EXAMPLE: Practical use of this is something like Yahtzee, you make a big door around the buttons and scoreboard and make it "don't move here" to keep people off the other doors you add for clickable buttons you put on top os this big door so people can use them.

Make sure you are a wizard in your Palace and go to the operators menu, turn on authoring and choose "new door" from the operators menu.

thats all.

You have to copy scripts fromt he forum and paste it in your Cyborg.ipt file using notepad or a programmers editor. Do NOT use word or any wordprocessor. More on this can be found in the client manual.

There are two ways of checking a log, but neither method is foolproof: If the server they chat on keeps chatlogs you might be able to request those. But you probably need to be server owner to get to these logs.

You can open a "save to log" file when you open the Palace client for them. This is a option in the file menu, but this can be turned of by the user. It will write all Palace chat to a file in the main Palace folder.

A good place to start is to make sure they learn our Palace safety guidelines. You can view these by clicking the "Kids Online Safety" link on the bottom of the main menu.

The "tiny text" condition is a font conflict, and somewhat of a rare
condition. It is unique to Windows. If you had installed a program just before the tiny text appeared, try uninstalling it.

There is another method some have used to correct this condition successfully. You can put groups of fonts in the trash, (don't delete them, just store them there), restart your computer, launch Palace, and see if the condition clears.

By repeating this procedure, you'll eventually isolate the group of fonts containing the offending font. Repeat this procedure with each font in the group to identify the font responsible, and then trash that font.

This procedure is worth trying, but isn't always effective, and there have been rare cases where an OS reinstall was required to resolve the condition.

You can not remove your account yourself, not yet anyway. The administrator has to delete your account. Technically there is no point in removing your account because nothing gets done with it. You are helping the site administrator because he hates dead useless accounts, especially from dutch people :)
