There are many Palaces out there that wil give you full member capabilities, they use the "guest = member" code for theyr server. Find a good place to hang out, perhaps someone has a spare code he/she wants to give you. Remember that Palace codes are unique, you cannot share them!

Whispering on palace simply means a private chat between two people. The rest of the people in the room will not see your conversation. When in whisper mode, words will appear in italics. In the log, whispering is denoted by asterisks. If you happen to be away from palace on a different screen at the time, you will hear a doorbell.
Whispering can be a tricky feat. Basically all you need to do is click on the person you want to whisper to - their av will remain in colour, while the avs of other users will darken. Sometimes, you may miss and 'fall' on top of your target thereby betraying to the world your whispering activities. To avoid this, you may wish to right-click on your target instead and choose the option Whisper to So and So.
To stop whispering, just click anywhere outside the chat window.

Go to http://register.palaceplanet.net and register, there you will get your Palace registration code. Open your client, do NOT connect to a Palace server and in the File menu click the option "Enter registration code" If this is greyed out you are either on a Palace chat already or have a registered client.

The main thing is the registration code. The accuracy of your name does not really matter. But the exact copying of the code does. The safest way is to copy paste it from the e-mail you got when registering. note: The password of this website is NOT a palace reg code. You can obtain Palace regcodes from: http://register.palaceplanet.net

Practice Palace is the Default Palace for anyone who installed the Palace UPGRADER. It is not the only Palace you can go to, in the Palace Client Menu you will find: File, Edit, Options and Bookmarks, followed by Avatars, pugins and help.

Bookmarks has a list of pre-selected Palaces arragend by theme. Check out the list and look around, you can click on any of those Palace names in the bookmarks, add your own etc. You should also try the "Palace directory" wich will open the Palacetools Live directory. The link to this can be found in the top menu on Palace Planet.

Sounds like your using the Mac Client, if so, try the "Mac Fix" the link can be found to the left here in the "Quick Links" menu. Mac Palace Clients have a problem with picture downloads because the advertisement server does not excist anymore.

If you get the message you name change is illegal this means you are using caracters not allowed by the Palace Client. this can be anything like * %$@ etc. Especially the * wich is reserved for Palace Wizards only.

It means that for some reason you have been terminated. Don't take it to personal, it could be that the type of prop/doll is not allowed on that Palace. Or you simply did not behave according to theyr rules. It could also be that you simply triggered a script that caused the server to terminate you to protect the PAlace from crashing. Try again later, these "kills" don't last to long. And you can usually just ask what the reason was.

The important part of Palace reg Code is stored in a file. For PC users the file is called: "palace.reg" you can find this in your windows directory. Mac users it is called Palace registration and can usually be found in: System Folder/Prefrences/Palace Registration. Delete this and you will be able to enter a new Registration code.

The "tiny text" condition is a font conflict, and somewhat of a rare condition. It is unique to PC. If you had installed a program just before the tiny text appeared, try uninstalling it.

There is another method some have used to correct this condition successfully. You can put groups of fonts in the trash, (don't delete them, just store them there), restart your computer, launch Palace, and see if the condition clears. By repeating this procedure, you'll eventually isolate the group of fonts containing the offending font.

Repeat this procedure with each font in the group to identify the font responsible, and then trash that font.

This procedure is worth trying, but isn't always effective, and we have seen some rare cases where an OS reinstall was required to fix the condition.

Look in the Palace menu for "preferences" there you will find the option to change your name. you can also just right click your own avatar and use the 'change name' option from the little menu that props up.

There are a few caracters like * and empty spaces you can't use as regular Palace Member. The * is reserved for Wizards and Gods (also known as Palace Owners and Operators). And a few Palace Servers only allow simple a-z 0-9 caracters. Just check what others are wearing on the server or experiment to see whats allowed.

It is very easy to share the same PC and have different screenames. Screenames are set in the preferences of your Palace Client program. (look in the EDIT menu, at the bottom you see "Preferences...") The other more complex option is to just install the Palace software twice, you can actually just duplicate the Palace folder you already have. The only advantage is that now you both can have different customised scripts and Avatar bags to store all your own pictures. The dissadvantage is that your media folder will become pretty big because you store most pictures from Palace servers twice.

Getting pinned means an operator put you in a corner topunish you for something. Ask the operator why it happened so you won't make that mistake again.

You can only pin someone if your an operator.

If you registered with http://palace.webdog.com/ website you can request a new code with a maximum of 3 for each users e-mail. Its a good idea to write down your code or print it out. Or just save the file called palace.reg it holds your registration code.
