24 Scottish HOURS ON the PALACE

To be honest I must start with a confession... I did not HOP all 24 hours long!. Unlike so many true diehards it was to much and wimped out after 6 hours to get some sleep. Things can get tiring if your claiming the whole of Palace space for Bonnie Scotland.

If you missed the 24HOP, you missed 24 Hours Of Palace Jumping with the most outrageous and fun Palatians you will find. But Palace Planet will feature a whole series of HOP MOVIES, animated gifs with a taste of what went on on certain Palace Servers. You will see how the world turns Scottish and how everybody has a lot of fun.

Here is a small list of my personal favorites during the HOP: Starting with the always great Cyber Palace , tasteful and elegant, with the always lovely Yuria.

Firebirds Forrest with its great 3D graphics, a brilliantly designed "world" that makes you believe in minutes its real.

Marshouse, by PaulW, not just a friend but also a inspired artist, very original rooms and a great addition to Scotland.

Hogwarts, not just another Harry Potter copy but a true original long before the hype hit with brilliant use of scripting and pictures.


Library of Dreams, I'm not suppose to say this because Tristan is such a bastard (j/k) but this is a excellent, and way to tasteful Palace dude.


The Pond not just a classic because its been around for so long, but most of all because it has great people, fun rooms and well its just one of the best Palace hangouts.


Last Resort this name is a lie, if anything this should be one of the first places to go if you are looking for a good time on the Palace.


The Castle he calls himself City Slicker, but is really a Majestic bird with a big heart. That keeps his family of great Palace people together in the Castle. This place has probably the best Gate Picture you will find anywhere on the Palace.

Digital Exposure, the dutch Palace that will rule the Scottish empire (eeh?) With a fun tour.

AAArt Of Wizardry Far out is the only real word to use here. Ok that's 2 words, but only because its hip groovy and most of all just not what you would expect. And I mean that in the best way possible :)

XMission well its XMission, its not just a Palace, its a giant Smurf world, themepark, gameshow, and all in the all the best advertisement for Palace anywhere.If there was one Palace I could take to a deserted Island this would be my second choice, after my own offcourse (hehe) Seriously thought, if you haven't seen this place, you really do not know what the Palace is all about.

Of course big thanks goes out to the 24HOP crew that made it all happen. Lets hope the NederHop across the Dutch Palaces on December 8th, will just as much fun!. For Digital Exposure, it was an honor to be in this list of creative and diverse Palaces, especially being before AAArt Of Wizardry and Xmission at the end of the HOP was a big thrill.

People from outside Digital helped to inspire and gave me a few items that turned out to be crucial in the "fun factor" for the HOP at Digital. Iby popped in with a couple of dancing Scots, Scottish flags (yeah!) and bagpipers. Zombie Woof send me a whole list of URL's where to find guys in kilts that made brilliant Scottish props in combination with Tybalts heads. Together with the sudden request for a 4th room this turned into Scottish Partyland and one of the biggest fun rooms at Digital exposure.

The next day after the HOP I ran into Jim from the Profile Palace, he came to reclaim his place from the Scots.
