I just made palace palette compatible with the free gimp. I will send it to Maart. And he will upload it. And I can make a quick tutorial how to use it.

Thanks that would be cool, but remember Palaceplanet has an UPLOAD feature: go to downloads and click on 'add download' to submit your file! You can even include a preview picture, screenshot and homepage.

There is also the option link to a file on another website. You see Palaceplanet has it all :P

I know there was mention that a palette was made for gimp and that it was gonna be uploaded. Is it available yet? I'm very interested in using it. Also, I would be willing to help with documentation of creating AVs with this program. Thanks.

Good question! I never got the file, but if you know how to make a Palace Palette or color table you can actually make one from the mansion Gate picture.

This is how I did it in photoshop:

Open the mansion gate picture in photoshop.

In the file / mode menu I select Color Table and then save color table.

This way you have your own Palace palette. Not sure if this helps you in any way with the GIMP, but my guess is if it has a color table load feature it might have a save option as well.
