Edit the palace client

I was wondering how to edit the palace client?

Because I thought it is maybe an idea to change an option.
In the program is next to File, the menu Edit. If you click that then there is in that list Edit profile page.
If you click it you get linked to nothing :).

Now I was wondering how I can change that? Maybe to my own profiles database?

This is one of the options you can't change i'm afraid. We have a global Palace Profile server setup on Palace Planet thought. In any message you will see a little button Palace Profile top left under the join date and post count. Check out your own profile:

This is a searchable Palace user profile database and the only working alternative. We will call it MyPalace Space :P

Yeah I noticed that.
But why don't you integrate that into client? So if someone clicks on the profile page in the client, het gets linked to his own profile on palaceplanet?

That would be really cool and pretty much what the solution to a big Palace problem: social networking.

Because of all the spread out stuff the social networking in this community has almost vanished. this would solve a lot of the probs people have with finding each other and finding new friends.

Will try and see what we can do about that, who knows :)

Editing the client, is hard work, and would have to be made available for everyone, not just the local curious user. So, why do something that it isnt easy for everyone to contribute to?. there are easier ways to make information graphically available, simply from a GOTOURL link spot in a palace, to a GUI on a web page, like these:

If your just curious about seeing someones profile: How about just using the Palace Profiles we got here?

It is pretty straightforeward, for crazycor you only have to look for www.palaceplanet/profile/crazycor right?

We could even do an ON INCHAT whisper script, people whisper "palace profile" and your cyborg whispers they URL back for your profile here.

This way they can add you to their social network / buddy list or whatever and we build a networked community in My Palace Space. And not only just because I spend the last 3 weeks building it, but because it works :P

You can now surf to any My Palace Space profile page by using this url:
http://my.palacespace.net/profile/username

So: http://my.palacespace.net/profile/Cookie_baer should work
