Windows makes a horrible server regardless what port/protocol/medium.
Every week it seems like another Microsoft IIS Webserver system that's suppose to protect US citizen information about your identity gets 'cracked' into. Sites like LexisNexis.com! Who subscribe to the US government to host background information about US citizens (Social Security Numbers, First/Middle/Last names, Drivers License Number, Criminal Record, perhaps even your credit history). Everything you would need to register a bank account or credit card under somebody else's name, and shoot their credit in the ass! If you live in the USA and you feel like you're safe, wake up fool! You're not worthy to be ignorant of the truth!
More and more routers and servers online in general appear to be switching over to Windows. And the overall performances of the servers/routers online appear to be heading downhill. Could there be a connection between the degrading of internet performance and Windows becoming more popular for server activities? Only time will tell!
A wonderful example of how wonderful Windows is on such a minor scale. I have a fileserver in my house that runs a Linux distro/FTP server. Linux FTP client to that server gets about 8 or 9 MBs/sec upload, while Windows FTP client to that server only gets about 75 kB/sec... WTF?!
Microsoft says implementing full TCP/IP protocol usage into Windows would open up more exploits... funny haha! Unix/Linux systems have had full TCP/IP protocol support for years now, and Windows has still had more exploits, by FAR!
Say what you can in defense of Windows, the truth is, it's pathetic, PERIOD!
