Ideally, what I would like to suggest is that we focus less on the past and more on the future of the community and moving it forward. Expansion will be a challenge, and as several of us have discussed, the community needs an infusion of new blood to bring it back to life. A well advertised, designed, and organized event without the fussing and “politics” is needed.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, has to be willing to work together and allow people to express their ideas, even if they are not used. Tossing out ideas could generate others. When people start to feel they are not listened to or are unappreciated things can start to unravel. There are so many other chat clients out there it will be up to all of us as a community to come together and show those that join our ranks how enjoyable it can be, pique their curiosities, and foster them and encourage growth and knowledge. Melodrama and arguing amongst ourselves would only hinder advancement in our endeavors. It’s all about keeping a community together and finding ways to allow it to blossom and flourish within the best realms of possibility. We all would not be here if we did not enjoy something about Palace, it’s up to us all to make sure it continues on so that others may find out about and enjoy it as we do.

Very true Dauphine, we can only learn from the past and move on. This community has been to many islands sowly sinking into oblivian :)

A lot of new people still visit this community and I am pretty sure we will be here for at LEAST another 8 years so lets have some fun.

So at the moment I think we should get more people on / involved. You know spread the word this is happening and see who wants to join.

One thing I think could be helpfull is let all the Palace hosts know about this and see if they got any people around that want to help organise it.


Personally I think if we can groups of 3 Palaces to organise something among themselves it should work out pretty well.

The few events I organised in the past always had some storyline or theme and this usually helped people creating something fun.

Some sort of hunt or game where you collect things along the way with a 3 hour meeting point along the way could be fun. Having a 3 hour "get together" will give us 8 big meeting points.

A old plan was to split things up into time zones with local themes.

We sort of did this during the milennium HOP and perhaps if a group thats can cluster around a certain time zone can also decide on a theme for itself
you can have 8 self organised groups.

I hope this all makes sense, I think right now we just need a lot of people that think this is a cool idea.

So who's going to rattle the cages and gets all his friends to join us? :)

looks like you really impressed them, so much so nobody dares to answer lol!

Looks like this is a lost cause because now we got logan trying to run the HOP on his own and we all know he smokes way to much dope to pull that off without throwing another fit.

yeah lets start some personal vendetta thing that always helped bringing the community together lol. Logan is a cool guy, leave the man alone he is doing what he thinks is best.

Would be great if both groups would work together on this at last. Nobody owns anything on Palace so no one can claim anything after all.

Lets stick to what we are here for: organising a global cross Palace event that should be politics FREE. No slander, suggestive comments about anyone, especially not my friends. :)

Sin City the palaces oldest palace would be happy to goto an all ages palace for the night of the event and host it here:)

Okay, I have returned for another post. I feel that I have to stress that we want this to be fun for everyone. If Logan is organizing a hop on his own or already has one set for this holiday season I support that decision and respect his right to do just that.
I still strongly believe that we can really put something together that is great fun for everyone. The key here is that we have to put aside any petty or small minded issues that we may have with anyone here. A few of us have said it over and over again, but we have to put the politics aside here. It doesn't matter which palace is the oldest or the newest or has the most visitors. We have to focus on the enjoyment of the people that participate and follow the quest we set up for them.
Old palaces or new palaces..it doesn't matter. If you wish to participate then jump in, offer your suggestions, get your palace ready to showcase a few of your brightest and best works of art.
As the holiday season draws to an end, I'll try to focus more getting us all drawn in on a more refined and definitive gameplan. Now, is an excellent time for us all to be working on ideas and brainstorming in our sparetime. It's the holiday season, enjoy your friends and families, just spare the community some time when you all can. Post your ideas in here and we'll sort through them and see what we can come up with.

Kristine, thank you for the offer to make your palace an all ages place the night of the event.
There is a lot of planning to be done and I'd like to extend the offer to everyone to join in on it all. Adult palace, alternative lifestyles, family oriented.....large or small palace. If you can handle the people that will come through and can come up with rooms in your palaces that are safe and suitable and accessible to visitors of all ages then you're welcome to toss your palaces names into the ring. If you don't have a palace of your own or would just like to be a part of the process....jump in. I cannot stress this enough, and I'm sure that I sound like a broken record sometimes, everyone needs take part in making this to make an event to remember.
